Specializes in:
Environmental geophysical investigations with an emphasis on problems which can be solved using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Electromagnetics (EM), Electrical Resistivity, and Magnetic (Mag) methods.

Echotech Geophysical investigations employ non-invasive techniques to image areas of interest. They use remote sensing solutions to overcome common problems such as locating gas lines, aquifers, and abandoned dump sites.

Many problems can be investigated using geophysical techniques such as determining snow pack values, estimating reservoir sedimentation rates, monitoring bridge support scouring, assessing road and bridge surface quality, and locating leaks in containment ponds.

Geophysical techniques use the contrast in physical properties of materials to locate their boundaries. Materials such as rock, sand, metal, concrete, rubber, oil, water, snow and air have physical properties which differ enough to be distinguishable from one another.

A magnetometer like their Scintrex ENVIGRAD or a high sensitivity metal detector like their Geonics EM61 can be used to locate such objects as buried metal drums or storage tanks, abandoned water well casings, and rebar reinforced concrete footings. In addition to ferrous materials, their EM61 can be used to locate non-ferrous conductive materials like aluminum cable, copper pipes or even lead and brass unexploded ordinances (UXO).
