Outfitters, a family tradition for over 90 years; is owned by
Dave Warwood. His great grandfather was an outfitter who took trips into
Yellowstone Park at the turn of the century; for fishing, photography,
and sightseeing.
Dave has operated this business since 1980; for hunts, summer cattle drives, and backcountry fishing trips. These all run from the ranch and the Lightning Creek camps. The Lighting Creek camp is used to hunt the Lee Metcalf Wilderness, bordering the NW corner of Yellowstone Park. This area is excellent for elk hunting, both archery and rifle season. The endless supply of Yellowstone elk makes this an exceptional trophy area for Record Book Bulls! The area is hunted for 5 miles in all directions from camp; about 100 sections or 64,000 acres; with a limited number of hunters, to insure you get a quality hunt. Dave feels low pressure hunting techniques are important to insure Trophy Class Bulls stay in the area. Opportunities for mature bulls(340 B&C or better) is very good. It's very unusual to not get chances at good bulls here; the only time some of these 8 or 9 year old bulls are hunted is when they leave Yellowstone. For more information visit Dave's Web Site! |
